My Teeth Are Glowing

Do you know what the effects of radium ingestion are on the human body? 

You might think of radiation poisoning or topical burns, but those are from simply being in the presence of pure radium. When ingested, the body misidentifies radium as calcium due to their structural similarities and deposits it as such: directly in the bones. The result is a horrifying array of physical ailments including rapid skeletal decay, acute glaucoma, and an agonizingly slow death. This was the fate of many factory workers in the early 20th century, who were tasked with painting luminous dials for watches and aircraft instruments. 

MY TEETH ARE GLOWING is an upcoming visual novel that explores the story of these workers, most of whom were young women.
